Technology 4 Kids -
Activities for Youth in Queen's Park
Technology4Kids has the hottest and most
advanced equipment in gaming, animation, film production, audio
and video effects that you can do yourself. This project is
organised by the Community Development Worker Artak and the
Queen's Park Resident Group.
It is FREE for everyone to attend.
An
Open Day took place in
April which was followed by a one month trial period in May
2007. During that month young people started bringing their
friends to join them, and the group grew from just 3 people to
over 25. In June 2007 a funding application was put to Essex
Children's Fund to continue these activities for another 22
weeks. While waiting for the outcome and in order to keep the
continuity, Hannakins Farm Community Centre funded the
activities for June.
Our funding application was successful and we received £4000
which will fund this project until December 2007 at no cost to
participants.
