Organisational Development and Governance:
The CVS offers information advice and guidance to organisations
on issues such as constitutions and legal status, setting up an
organisation, roles and responsibilities of trustees, developing
policies and procedures and other issues relevant to voluntary
and community sector. Click on the above heading for some useful
information & links.
Funding:
The CVS can advise organisations on
how, where and when to apply for funding. Advice is available
on European, U.K. statutory and charitable funds as well as
Big Lottery funding opportunities. Go to this section for
some useful information.
FunderFinder:
The CVS has access to a computer software
package called FunderFinder. This searches over 5000 grant
making trusts to find the best potential funders based on your
organisational needs. This search can be carried out at your
location as well as the office.
Forums:
The Voluntary Sector Forum provides an arena
where voluntary and community organisations can discuss and
respond to strategic and policy issues affecting the sector e.g.
LSP, CYPSP, government consultations etc. The forum meets
quarterly (4 times a year) and organises an Bi-Annual conference.

deliver this project to communities in Queens Park Billericay
and Craylands/Fryerns East Basildon. It is funded by Fair Share
Trust programme which is administered by Essex Community
Foundation.
