Organisational Development and Governance: The CVS
offers information advice and guidance to organisations on
issues such as constitutions and legal status, setting up an
organisation, roles and responsibilities of trusties, developing
policies and procedures and other issues relevant to voluntary

Funding:
The CVS can advise organisations on
how, where and when to apply for funding. Advice is available
on European, U.K. statutory and charitable funds as well as
National Lottery funding opportunities. Go to this section for

FunderFinder:
The CVS has access to a computer software
package called FunderFinder. This searches over 5000 grant
making trusts to find the best potential funders based on your
organisational needs. This search can be carried out at your
location as well as the office. To make an appointment please
contact our Funding and Development Officer.

Training and Capacity Building:
We organise meetings and short courses covering a variety of
training and development issues of relevance to the district's
voluntary and community sector.

Forums:
The Voluntary Sector Forum provides an arena
where voluntary and community organisations can discuss and
respond to strategic and policy issues affecting the sector e.g.
LSP, CYPSP, government consultations etc. The forum meets
bi-monthly at present and organises an annual conference.

Community Development: We
deliver this project two communities in Queen's Park Billericay
and Craylands/Fryerns East Basildon. It is funded by Fair Share
Trust programme which is administered by Essex Community
Foundation.
