Are you interested in volunteering?

The primary function of Basildon , Billericay and Wickford Volunteer Centre is to provide a Brokerage Service matching the interests and skills of people in the local area with local volunteer involving  organisations who have registered with us. The service is free and covers the Basildon , Billericay and Wickford area.

If you would like to visit the Centre you will meet with the Volunteer Co-ordinator for an informal interview that usually lasts half an hour. The informal interview is a confidential one to one interview. The Volunteer Centre is an open planned office and therefore if you would like to have an informal interview in a private area please ask the Volunteer Centre Co-ordinator who will arrange this.

If you are unable to visit us at the Volunteer Centre we are able to  provide our Brokerage Service via letter, telephone or email.

Volunteering for All

The Volunteer Centre offers opportunities for everyone who volunteers to expand their skills, widen their experience, increase their confidence, help the public, make new friends and simply have fun.

By raising the profile of volunteering, the Volunteer Centre seeks to break down any barriers which exist to certain sections of the local population and hence to provide an ethos of Volunteering for All.
