Act
The
Localism Act 2011 received its Royal
Assent
on Tuesday, so is now law. NAVCA's Chief Executive, Kevin
Curley gives a response
on CLG's news page. There is still a lot of uncertainty
about how the measures will work and a lot of work
needed to make the measures in the Bill help local

Adult Skills Budget enhance offer to support 19-24 NEET
Skills Funding is making £5 and £10 million of grants available
to Third Sector Training Organisations to enhance the work
they currently do with the young adults NEET

Free
Training avaiable is targeted at upskilling community
groups by offering training in governance, marketing and
presentation skills. Other topics may be added by request. The
groups must have eligible people in them to qualify for FREE
training – be over 19, unemployed (or economically inactive),
below level 2 qualified and not been in education for past 2
years. There are a few exceptions
