Chief Officer – Recruitment

We are seeking to appoint a Chief Officer who is a highly committed and experienced leader and who is passionate about the voluntary and community sector. In conjunction with the Board of Trustees, the Chief Officer will develop and implement a two-year strategy to transform the organisation into a thriving and financially sustainable CVS that is acknowledged as the local lead agency in the sector.

Critical to success in this role will be experience of developing positive, collaborative relationships with voluntary, community and statutory sector partners and experience of generating and managing income from a wide range of sources.

This key post requires a highly motivated, creative and energetic individual with exceptional qualities to lead and inspire – in short, a strategic thinker who is a self-starter and an accomplished manager.

Excellent verbal, written and IT skills along with strong presentation abilities are essential for this post. The ability to work under pressure as well as attendance at occasional evening and weekend meetings goes with the job.

Pay Grade: £42k – £45k (+ 3% employer’s pension contribution)

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Annual leave: 5 weeks (in addition to public holidays)
